The only way to play the piano, pitch a baseball, or use a formula is to practice. The worksheets in this course were taken from a variety of places, and were created by a variety of people. The intention of the Practice Questions for each module will be -- to give you extra practice!
The idea here is to do a few of the problems, look at the answers, then do some more. That way you find out fairly early if you are doing them 'right' or not.
If you understand the material then the practice questions will not take long, and will help you confirm that you do indeed understand the material. So, do them!
1. Do the exercises on pages 1-8 of the Optical Formulas Tutorial, and check your answers in the back of the text book.
2. Do exercises 1-13 on page 373 of Systems for Ophthalmic Dispensing, and check your answers in the back of the text book.
3. Go to the library and get a textbook on Technical Math. Find the chapter converting between metric and english, and metric to metric, and do the exercises. The important exercises for us are conversions between meters, centimeters, millimeters, and inches.
