Attributes of an AR coating
The reflected wave and the canceling wave must be exactly opposite phases to each other.
The amount of light (= intensity, amplitude) of the reflected wave and the canceling wave must be equal.
The coating must adhere to the lens.
The coating must withstand normal wear and cleaning.
The coating must not dissolve in water.
