Destructive Interference
To get destructive interference, we must have a coating that is an odd multiple of the wavelength of the light to be reflected.
¼ of a red that is 660 nm is 165 nm.
¼ of a blue that is 460 nm is 115 nm.
What cancels red will not cancel blue.
What cancels red will actually partially augment violet/blue!
